Finally Google has launched share access feature in GWT

A Google webmaster tool allows amazing features to all webmasters since last many years. Google provided this tool for the data measurement and to filter out the data which is worth for webmasters. Generally website owner or admin have the details of their webmaster accounts. If owner have to give any access to other person then owner have to give full access because there is not any option to give view access like Google analytics. After so many requests Google gets for the view access for GWT so finally Google have launch the application in GWT where you as a verified site owner to grant limited access to your site’s data and settings in GWT. Now you can do accurately that with our GWT new User administration feature.

You can find the option on GWT Home Page and click on “Manage site” meanwhile in drop down menu you will see the “Add or remove users”

This menu will take you the new User administration page where you can add up or delete up to 100 users. You will able to give them “Full” or “Restricted” access as per your need.

Adding or removing verified website owners is still done on the owner verification page which is linked from the User administration page.

Full Access: If you give the Full access in GWT then they will be able to see most of the data and take the actions like the demoting the sitelinks, site setting they can change etc.

Restricted Access: Granting a user to set a restricted means they will able to view most of the data. They have several rights like fetch as googlebot,malware issue etc. You can see the “Restricted Access” indicator in the below image.

Google have given the complete details where you can see the features and actions are accessible for Full users, Restricted users and site owners, See the Granted permission in GWT for each role.

This feature helps many webmasters for manage their website in efficient way. Now you are able to give limited access to prevent unauthorized changes.
