Other links that you might want to track!
You may not know it, but the links that you set up to refer back to your website are not the only ones that attract traffic to your site. When tracking website referrals, you might have noticed several visitors as having come directly to the website and not through a referral link. How that traffic comes about is no longer a mystery. Here are some that you should consider tracking:
1. Links from Email signatures
Every outgoing email might have a direct link to your website. These are sure to bring in the visitors hence add tracking URL’s or codes.
2. Specific graphics or words
Using specific keywords, or call to action phrases is good. Ensure that they have tracking codes in the links that will help you monitor the flow from there.
3. Offline marketing
Use tracking URL’s for website addresses or print content as this will help you track the kind of visitors these links attract.
4. Bio links in articles
Having tracking codes in your biography links is useful as many people tend to visit your website through those.
5. Social networking status updates
Updating your status on social networks is sure to get you noticed way more than you think.
