Users of Twitter will be very sad after hearing this news. If in case your Twitter is over capacity, showing too many tweets! It’s advised to wait for a moment and then retry again. Don’t feel frustrated or worried as it’s not only you in the row, there are millions of users too. As per the received view, the HTTP status code 503 indicates that the Twitter Web server is currently unable to handle the request due to a temporary overload or maintenance of the server. What happens is that sometimes the Twitter traffic is very rapid and its web server is unable to handle a rapid amount of requests in a very short span of time. As a result, you might be seeing “Twitter is over capacity. Too many tweets!…”.
Now the question must be rising in your mind why the Twitter server is overloaded? Actually, Twitter has become the SMS of the Internet, and due to its restricted 140 characters per post, now it has become the hottest thing in social media marketing. The biggest thing is that everyone from big companies, CEO’s to youngsters are using Twitter only. According to Forrester estimation average of 5 people are using Twitter, and this is what causing overloading. Ultimately, Twitter has to fix its overload issue, till then relax for few minutes before you start tweeting. Twitter immediately closed the loophole but was forced to temporarily reset many accounts as it has cleaned up the damage. And the reset appears like many users had no followers and were also following no one.
“We identified and resolved a bug that permitted a user to ‘force’ other users to follow them,” as mentioned by a site in a blog post. Many users were able to use the service during the disruption.
